Limited information, however, is available on the prevalence of MetS and its relation to inflammation among Georgian cardiology patients. We investigated MetS components (elevated blood pressure, abdominal obesity, elevated triglyceride concentrations, decreased HDL-cholesterol concentrations, and elevated fasting glucose) and their relationships with C-reactive protein (CRP) concentrations in this population.
