Abstract
An analysis of the government's plans for the creation of a lifelong e-portfolio for every learner in the UK. It is argued that while, at face value, an e-portfolio is simply an online coursework store that allows for easier marking and moderation, if implemented properly it could signal a radical change in the way in which learning occurs both in and out of school.
