Abstract
Wide area coverage is much demanded in beam-forming applications. Rotman lens is most commonly used for beam-forming among multiple receiver elements. In 5G applications, the conventional lens designs with antenna array does not exhibits good beam coverage due to restricted position of beam and array ports. This research work encompasses the design and analysis of Rotman lens along with microstrip patch antenna array for 5G frequency i.e. 3.45GHz. The simulation of proposed lens structure and microstrip patch antenna array has been done with simulation software CST tool. The proposed Rotman lens design with antenna array offers wide beam coverage area i.e. ±55deg.
