Abstract
In this paper, an immersed boundary method (IBM) is proposed for heat transfer and fluid velocity calculation in the particulate system. In IBM, solid particles are treated as sources of velocity and temperature and Navier-Stokes equations and energy equation are solved on fixed Cartesian grid. For benchmarking of simulation results, various test cases from literature are studied. In the test cases, good agreement is observed between simulation and literature results.
