Abstract
This paper is based on Solar Power fed Water Pumping System. The dc-dc conversion stage is facilitated through three converters viz. Landsman converter, Luo converter and Zeta converter one by one and their performances are compared for pumping system application. Soft starting of the BLDC motor is attained by gating the switch of the converter through the direct duty ratio control scheme of incremental conductance maximum power point tracking (INC-MPPT) algorithm in each case. The paper tackles the steady state and dynamic performances and inspects the potency of the BLDC motor with these converters for solar power based water pumping. The method is specifically designed for rural areas as it is simple, cost efficient and requires less maintenance. Simulated results extracted from MATLAB/Simulink prove the effectiveness of the same.
