Abstract
Taken the column beam strength ratio as control index, five strong-beam and weak-column shaped joints of concrete-filled steel tubular column and H-shaped steel beams were designed. The low-cyclic loading tests were carried out. The effects of axial compression ratio, steel ratio and joint type on the seismic performance were investigated. The results showed that the plastic hinge appears at the end of the column of every joint, and weld damage is likely to occur in the exterior column joints. The displacement-angle between floors of destruction is between 1/43 and 1/18, and the capability of anti-collapse is strong. The larger the steel ratio, the smaller the axial compression ratio, the fuller the hysteresis curve, and the slower the strength and stiffness degradation is, the better the ductility performance and the energy dissipation capacity will be. The influence of the axial compression ratio on seismic performance is more obvious than that of the steel ratio. The seismic performance of the interior column joints is superior to that of the exterior column joints.
