Abstract
In this paper, a mathematical modelling of a 3-phase BLDC motor that uses an ideal back EMF and accurate speed control is presented. This system uses the equivalent output from three hall sensors to detect the location of the rotor at any given moment and then switches a six-step inverter to drive the motor as a result. Phase voltages and the electromagnetic torque equation serve as the model's foundation. The transfer function has been used in additional analysis to obtain the necessary degree of performance. Moreover, the rotor's mechanical speed and angle determine the optimal back EMF. Due to its straightforward control structure and simplicity of use, the PI controller can control speeds in a wide range.
