Abstract
Especially all optical gain clamping (AOGC) method is a simple and efficient technique using a feedback laser counteracting signal variations without a complex control by electronics. But the problem is that the feedback laser inevitably occupies one part of signal band and can add noise in neighboring channels. We propose a new AOGC technique generating a clamping laser out of signal band in a fiber Raman amplifier with a resonant cavity (RC-FRA).
