Abstract
'Incivility behavior' is an obscure concept referring to a negative ignition and a verbal or frame of mind notification before bullying. In recent years, it has become a critical issue internationally, both in the educational and occupational milieus. There are various manifestation of incivility behaviors in clinical settings. Individuals suffered from long-term incivility behaviors may develop physical, psychological, social and spiritual symptoms; hence generate negative perceptions or uncertainties on personal life and professional career that eventually leads to quit the nursing profession. The incivility behavior is extensively and frequently analyzed internationally, however, a comprehensive and systemic conceptual analysis on incivility behavior is insufficient. In order to clarify the definition of incivility behavior, a concept analysis following by Walker & Avant's steps was proposed. The characteristics, case studies, contributing factors and consequences were also identified. Through this analysis, it is hoped to more understand the campus with friendly environment for nursing staff, and hence serve as a specific reference in the research field of nursing education.
