A search for neutrinoless double β decay of 48Ca

Abstract
A search for the neutrinoless double β decay of 48Ca is carried out in a coal mine near Beijing. Large scintillation crystals of natural CaF2were used as both detector and β source. Results obtained after a total of 7588.5 h of data taking give 9.5×1021yr (76% confidence level) as the lower limit of the half-life of neutrinoless double β decay of 48Ca.
