Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluated the effect of temporary suppression of luteinizing hormone (LH) surge during superovulation of Ongole cows. The animals were subjected to blood collection for estimation of LH by enzyme immuno assay (EIA) in which the intra- and inter-assay coefficients of variation were 5.6% and 7.1% respectively. The study revealed that temporary suppression of endogenous LH surge had no adverse impact on the fertilization rate, yield of viable and freezable embryos.
