Abstract
An essay is presented which explores the meaning of the instantaneous action shown in the paintings of monkeys in Egypt. These paintings that include "Leaping Monkey," "The Monkeys Fresco," and "Blue monkey" had caught the attention of scholar H. W. Janson, in which he wondered the relevance of these animals in the country's art. Meanwhile, the author said that this essay was made possible to the recognize Janson's works.
