•H. pyloriinfection attracted much attention worldwide, and its popularity will continue to increase.•Asia, especially China, Iran, South Korea and Japan paid the most attention on H. pylorieradication.•The most studied eradication regimens varied in different regions at different time stages.•BQT, P-CABs-based therapy, probiotics, and HDDT attracted the most attention in recent years.
