Abstract
The article provides an update on the chapters of the Embroiderers' Guild of America as of March 2004. The B.C. Stitchers have enjoyed a busy 25th anniversary year in 2003. Celebrations began in January with an anniversary cake for members. Each member received a gift of a Whitman sampler tin. Community projects included displaying of the chapter's needlework at a local mall during the month of March. Meanwhile the biennial exhibit of the Berks County Chapter was chaired by Kaye Fetherolf was held in a Victorian home in historic Reading, Pennsylvania, and featured heritage items loaned by members. Chicora Stitchers Chapter recently participated in a project for troops in the Middle East. Chicora Stitchers worked with VFW Post 10420 and its auxiliary from Murrells Inlet to send needlework kits to a medical unit in Iraq deals specifically with stress. The Day Lilies Chapter is a small and enthusiastic group of talented women. A nametag exchange was initiated with the stipulation that nametags had to have a day lily design. On the other hand, the Indian River Chapter decided to celebrate its 26th anniversary by holding a Needlework Fair rather than its usual party of luncheon.
