Abstract
•Neutrophils emerge as pivotal contributors to cancer progression, with their role intricately linked to the formation of Neutrophil Extracellular Traps (NETs), scaffold of DNA associated with enzymes and proteases that are released in the extracellular space•Neutrophils and NETs shape cancer treatment responses across chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.•Targeting of Neutrophils and NETs presents a strategic opportunity to design combination therapies, offering potential solutions to either overcome treatment resistance or to enhance the efficacy of anti-cancer interventions.
