Abstract
The article discusses the study on the impact of maternal depression to child's cognitive and physical health in Uganda. Food for Hungry, an international relief and development organisation, uses the Interpersonal Therapy for Groups approach to determine whether psychotherapy reduces depression in mothers and changes their caregiving behaviours. It concludes that maternal depression can be treated with a low-cost, community-based treatment.
