Abstract
Summary: In general, previous research in the field has yielded kinetic models that are quantitatively valid for bi-functional systems. This research offers a model for higher functionality systems. The efficacy of the model is demonstrated through examples in modeling the reaction kinetics and polymer structure of silica sol-gel systems, using experimental data where possible to calibrate the model predictions.
