Abstract
The article focuses on the added value being offered by Hencon when using object-oriented logistic software. The company started with an Excel-based model in 2006 that allowed it to quickly monitor general production requirements. It calculates the day to day requirement for anodes and ladles to calculate the fleet of vehicles required for that production.
