Abstract
Mucormycosis was a difficult illness to treat in the past due to a lack of diagnostic and treatment alternatives. Rhino-orbital-cerebral mucormycosis usually affects the maxillary sinus with involvementof maxillary teeth, orbits, and ethmoidal sinuses. Diabetes mellitus is an independent riskfactor for both COVID-19 as well as mucormycosis. Advances in pathology, diagnostic tools, and treatment choices are discussed here. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
