Abstract
The article comments on the legislative practices of the European Union. The highlights of the European legislation include the way in which the co-decision between the Council of Ministers and the European Parliament replaced earlier procedures and the extent to which the Council and the Parliament could negotiate with each other. The age of consultation of the European Community is composed of the European Commission as proposer and the Council as decider. The co-decision procedure involves a Conciliation Committee, which would pacify any disagreements between the two legislative bodies.
