Criticizes Doctors Marie Nyswander and Vincent P. Dole for their emphasis on drug effect rather than on behavioral and personality changes to cure drug addiction. Reference to the article "A Medical Treatment for Diacetylmorphine (Heroin) Addiction," by Nyswander and Dole; Criticism against the use of methadone by heroin addicts; Statement from Nyswander about the response of young addicts to methadone; Suggestion that Nyswander and Dole's experimentation are openly giving addicts drugs to gratify their addiction.
