Abstract
The article reports on the developments in the implementation of a national mass immunization campaign for the PsA-TT (MenAfriVac) serogroup A meningococcal conjugate vaccine in Burkina Faso. The vaccine was developed to eliminate epidemic meningitis in sub-Saharan Africa. It cites the stratified cluster survey conducted by the Burkina Faso Ministry of Health in December 2011 in cooperation with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the vaccination coverage.
