Abstract
This article discusses a study that compared the clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of patients with warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia (WAIHA) who have complement-fixing (C3+) and non-complement fixing (C3-) forms of the disease. The study found that there were no significant differences in demographic composition, clinical findings, or treatment received between the two groups. However, patients in the complement-fixing group had a higher rate and average number of relapse events compared to the non-complement-fixing group. The study suggests that both forms of WAIHA can be approached and treated similarly. [Extracted from the article]
