Abstract
The author discusses health care reform plans in the U.S. and says that the best way to save money on health care would be to reduce the amount that is spent on end of life care. Most people would prefer to die in their homes, not in hospitals. There are many cost inefficiencies in the health care system that are dependent on individual hospitals, doctors, and regions of the country, but the best way to reduce expenses is to provide home care for elderly people instead of hospital care.
