Abstract
Reports on experiments which show that overexpression of fetal insulin-like growth factor (Igf2) in chimeras made with transgenic embryonic stem (ES) cells leads to the development of most of the Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) phenotypes in a fashion dependent on Igf2 mRNA dosage. Methods used to establish lgf2 transgenic ES cell lines; Findings; Discussion of results.
