Abstract
The article explores the beliefs of Muslim people with diabetes on skin pricking during Ramadan, which could lasts about 29 to 30 days depending on the sighting of the moon and could present a potential risk for patients who do not modify their lifestyle and monitor their blood glucose during the said period. Topics discussed include the results of the retrospective observational study conducted by the authors using data from the Diabetic Association of Pakistan, Karachi.
