Abstract
The study reveals that FIGNL1 and FIRRM cooperate to promote the disassembly of RAD51 during DNA repair, particularly in response to interstrand DNA cross-links (ICLs). They identified FIRRM as a sensitizer to ICL-inducing agents and demonstrated that it contributes to the resolution of RAD51 foci at ICL-induced double-strand breaks. The findings provide insights into the complex mechanisms underlying DNA repair and suggest that FIRRM plays.
