Abstract
The article focuses on Hurricane Matthew, the most notable storm in 2016 that hit the North Atlantic. It states Hurricane Matthew was form from a tropical wave and later turned into a record-setting hurricane in terms of longevity, intensity, fatalities and damage. Also mentioned are the hurricane's sustained category 5 intensity and its landfalls in various areas including Haiti, South Carolina and Georgia.
