Abstract
The article discusses the authors' claim that it traditionally takes an extended amount of time for a President of the U.S. to learn how to do the job, and it mentions various aspects of the transition of political power from outgoing American President Barack Obama to businessman Donald Trump who won the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Established political rites and rituals involving the U.S. White House are examined, along with American democracy and ex-U.S. President George W. Bush.
