Abstract
The article presents a study on the contribution of tumor suppressor identity to the heterogeneity of phenotype in hair follicle stem cell-induced squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Topics mentioned include the tendency of hair follicle stem cells (HFSC) as cells of origin for SCC, use of mice transgenic for lox-stop-lox-KrasG12D mutation, and the ability of the HSFC to drive various SCC phenotypes that associate with the type of tumor suppressor deleted.
