Abstract
The article discusses experiences of the CNES Space Agency towards a variety of atmospheric balloons. It presents a list of the field campaigns involving planetary boundary layer (PBL) to the stratosphere of CNES. It also highlights applications of the balloons through the perspective of Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP).
