The article features several change agents that helped influence the future of libraries in the U.S. Kristen Simensen, director of Calhoun County Library (CCL), spearheaded a literacy project funded by a Library Services Technology Act (LSTA) grant administered through the South Carolina State Library (SCSL). Andrea Blackman, division manager of the Nashville Public Library (NPL) Special Collections, initiated an effort to meld the library's unique holdings into a curriculum for change.
