Abstract
The article presents a response to the study by J. K. Wang, K. Y. Chew and H. S. Zanjani published in 2022 which described an Instagram-based intervention for horizontal learning, intended to address the medical students' knowledge-gaps in a medical education curriculum. Topics include the use of the social media platforms by Gen Z when seeking information, the employment of the platform of choice for medical teaching and need for clinicians to be aware of what patients are learning online.
